Ladies Brunch

Sherry Lawson has traveled to many places around the world with her husband and has seen first-hand the ill effects of poor customer service.  For ten years, as a Director at Casino Rama, Sherry became part of the team that won numerous awards for its outstanding customer service.   Sherry will give true life examples of good, bad and ugly customer service, and will urge audience members from the business community to really have a critical look at how they actually treat their customers.

Sherry Lawson (nee Douglas) is a band member of Mnjikaning/Rama First Nation near Orillia.  Born in the lean 50's on a small First Nation reserve, Sherry grew up listening to the stories of her paternal grandmother.  Sherry has held municipal, provincial and federal jobs.  She has worked as a guidance counselor to high risk students, A Justice of the Peace, a trainer,  library technician and a crisis manager (not all at the same time).  Sherry has been recognized several times as a stellar community volunteer.  Named Orillia's Business Woman of the Year in 2004 and Orillia's Citizen of the Year in 2010, Sherry is a sought after public speaker and author.  Mother of three, grandmother of three, and wife of just one, Sherry prefers to be known simply as a storyteller.
