Ontario Harmony Explosion Camp

 

Friday April 27 – Sunday April 29th

 

This weekend retreat is open to all young men ages 14-22 from across the province and will take place at the Ontario Education Leadership Centre (OELC) on the beautiful shores of Lake Couchiching in Orillia.

During the weekend the boys will take part in workshops, clinics, and performances based around A Cappella singing, leadership, and music.
 
This event features an amazing faculty including;
 
  • Ontario music educators Dan Austin and Shawn Oakes,
  • renowned clinician and director Jordan Travis,
  • Presentation Judge and District President Barry Towner,
  • Barbershop Harmony Society Educator Adam Scott (Nashville),
 
and
 
our amazing quartet faculty, up-and-coming collegiate quartet, Shoptimus Prime.
 
The camp will begin Friday April 27th with students arriving from 7-9pm., and culminate with an afternoon performance by the boys on Sunday, featuring special guests, multi-time Ontario Quartet Champions Chameleon.

Harmony Explosion Camps are weekend retreats for young men who love to sing. They focus on developing skills in leadership, as well as good singing technique. Students will take part in a series of workshops and clinics run by some of the top vocal coaches and music teachers in the province. There are currently 16 Harmony Explosion Camps that take place annually across North America. These camps are attended by almost 2000 young men every year.
