Peninsula choruses attending Pep Rally

On January 11, a Mini Pep Rally was held in Burlington, co-hosted by the Hamilton Chapter and the Burlington Chapter with the purpose of raising funds for the Silver Threads, one of the senior quartets representing the Ontario District at the Midwinter Convention. With over 200 members and friends in attendance, we were able to present a cheque for $1000 to Silver Threads to help with their Florida trip expenses.
Burlington Chapter
Mar. 8 Will host 2005 Novice Contest at Mainway Arena. The Fixx will be the judges at the contest.
June 14 Will attend APOC Pep Rally.
June 16-17 Will help with the parking duties at Burlington Sound of Music and also participate on stage.
July 13 Annual sing out at the Burlington Band Shell.
Grimsby Chapter
Using membership promotion Sing One Song program. Guests will be invited to sing with the chorus on their annual show, April 9.
Feb. 14 Royal Rascals participated in Singing Valentine.
Apr. 9 Annual show at Place Polonaise, two performances 1 p.m. and 8 p.m.. Guest quartets are Back In Time and Mirage.
June 25 Sing out at Strawberry Social at the Grimsby Pumphouse .
Hamilton Chapter
Feb. 14 Very successful Singing Valentine program, great experience with CH TV.
Apr. 2 Planning to sing at the Senecaland convention for chorus evaluation.
Apr.l 15 Will perform as retiring champs at spring convention.
June 3-5 Will attend as a chorus at Harmony College North.
Niagara Falls Chapter
Feb. 14 Completed a successful Singing Valentine program.
Feb. 8 Sam Sloane visited the Niagara Falls Chapter for a very informative visit.
June 3-5 Will attend HCN.
June 14 Planning to attend APOC Pep Rally.
Chapter planning to enter in two upcoming Kiwanis Music Festivals.
Have two prospective members attending meetings.
Oakville Chapter
Feb. 26 Annual show at Oakville Place. Guest quartet is The Fixx.
Apr. 15-17 Will not compete in the spring convention but they are encouraging their members to attend.
Chapter is working on finding a new director to replace Jordan Travis who will leave March 1. They are looking at two potential candidates.
St. Catharines Chapter
Mar.h 29 Sing out at Niagara Arms.
May 7 May Day breakfast which helps the Newark Neighbours Food Bank.
May 14 Annual show at CAW Hall at 2 p.m.. Guest chorus is Hamilton Harbourtown Sound.
June 14 Planning to attend APOC Pep Rally.
Simcoe Chapter
Feb. 25 Ladies Night and Dance.
Mar. 5 Benefit show in Woodstock at the Market Theatre. Two performances at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m..
June 11 Spring show at the Old Windham Church.
June 14 Will attend APOC Pep Rally. k
