C-Way Sound sounding great
By Doug Hill, Cornwall Chapter member
The most profound effect of the Cornwall Chapter’s C-Way Sound‘s show with Capital City Chorus and their quartets has been felt in ways we could never have predicted. People who did not see the show were raving about it to their Barbershopper friends who were in it.
The Ottawa Chapter men were overwhelmed by the responsiveness of the audience, that resulted in three standing ovations from the packed house.
At the next practice after the show, a member of the audience showed up, wanting to sing with us. The new members in our chorus, ten of them singing with us for just eight months since the “Men Discover Your Voice” campaign, have caught the magic, and want to go on.
The Barbershop Harmony Society and Harmonize For Speech are now well-understood phrases in our communities, from Cornwall to Williamstown and beyond. Now Bill Vermue moves the momentum to Brockville, where we expect to help that chapter rebuild.
The joy is catching! k
