Peninsula Division supporting U Can Sing Too

Our prayers and thoughts are with Bill McKiernon, a strong supporter of the Peninsula Division, as he recovers from his accident. The next Peninsula Division meeting is scheduled for September 15 at the Calder School in Grimsby.
Burlington Chapter
July 13 - Annual sing out at the Burlington Bandshell. Guests were Classic Blend, Silver Threads and Four Old Friends.
Aug. 12-14 - Festival of Friends fund raiser.
Sept. 13 - Practices will resume after summer break.
Paul Greer will chair membership for U Can Sing Too program. Advertising for this program will go to local media (print and radio).
Dec. 14 - Annual Christmas Party.
Grimsby Chapter
June 25 - 2nd Annual Strawberry Social was another successful event.
July, August - Beer and Bug Nights were held at member’s homes.
Oct. 1 - Sing out at the Jordan Historical Society.
Hamilton Chapter
Aug. 20 - Chapter Golf and BBQ.
Sept. 14 - U Can Sing Too will be held through three guest nights, September 14, 21, and 28, with vocal lessons classes offered each night at 6:30 before chorus rehearsal. Advertising will go to local media (print and radio). The guest night will be followed by a chapter social event.
Oct. 15 - Will compete in fall convention.
Nov. 9 - 13 - Will volunteer to act as an assisting chorus at Harmony Inc. International Convention in Hamilton.
Dec. 9 - Tentative date for The Sound Christmas Concert.
Dec. 16 - Guest performers for Burlington Concert Band Show Sounds of Christmas.
Niagara Falls Chapter
Meetings resume in August.
U Can Sing Too evening is planned for September.13
Have contributed to the district promotions in media and radio.
Two quartets Forward Motion and Vintage plan to compete in the fall convention.
Annual show November 5, at 2:00 p.m.
Oakville Chapter
Plans are well underway to insure the Nationwide Wide Membership Drive is processed and will be the focus for the chapter.
Plan to have their election for the 2006 officers completed by October 31.
A marketing plan has been issued for a review and forecast for the year.
St. Catharines Chapter
Simcoe Chapter
Aug. 20 - Sing out in Port Rowan.
Sept. 13,20,27 - Guest nights are planned for their membership drive.
Sept. 24 - River of Lights chorus performance.
Oct. 4 - Performance by chorus and guests for family and friends.
Oct. 8 - Performance at Norfolk County Fair.
Oct. 14 – 16 - Will be host chorus for fall convention.
Nov. 12 - Annual Show Lighthouse Theatre.
Nov. 17 - Sing out North Shore Fire Safety Committee.
Dec. 11 - Christmas Concert, St. James United Church, Simcoe. k
