Chapter Operations Training Seminar
2006 a great success

By Neal T. Shafto, COTS Co-ordinator for 2007

The past year at COTS Plus was a great success for all.  The staff  at Geneva Park Orillia once again did an admirable task of keeping things in check for rooms, meals, registration and all requirements for the training classes.

A special thanks to all the teaching educators of the classes offered in 2006.  A job well done again.  As always, keeping the classes interesting and up to date with current information.

Dean Jim Debusman — What a wonderful, cheerful teacher of theory and music.  The backbone of our Society and a welcomed participant each year.  It was a pleasure for me to spend time with Jim and the rest of the officers of COTS during the events.  Being new to the group this year, I felt right at home and thank all for their acceptance and help with my duties.

Chuck  Alexander — You are quite an organizer and man of many talents.  You will be a great leader for 2007.  I look forward to our time together as the team gathers to make the flow of information smooth as silk.

2007 a year of commitment

I was thrilled when asked to be the COTS co-ordinator for 2007 and have been welcomed by many in the Society for accepting the challenge to co-ordinate the next COTS Plus.

Saying this, I require the help of the members of all the chapters in this great district to make this year and following years the success we have had in the past.  Each New Year brings greater challenges and the commitment of many to give our best when asked to form the best school available to teach and learn.

I am asking the COTS Team to keep me aware of any and all ideas you may have for the 2007 year. Also for new ideas or ways to better the way we have done things in the past years.

Together we can excel and make 2007 the year of excitement and new found knowledge.     k
