President’s Fund
I also noted your squib on Angel Fund. Shortly after I joined the Society, probably in 1996, I noted such a need in Fullerton, and proposed the establishment of such a fund. My lovely wife, Kay, agreed with the idea and we contributed $250 as seed money and a fund called the “President’s Fund” was established.
It now has at least four times that amount in it and is available to members in need, either as a loan or, if warranted, as an outright grant. It’s administered by the current and two previous presidents and is very nice to have. It might be good if all chapters would consider such a fund.
Yours in harmony, Dick Cote. k
