Etobicoke-Mississauga Chapter trying quartet club

By Al Scott, Etobicoke-Mississauga member

Although the Etobicoke-Mississauga Chapter only has 25 members, we have four quartets performing together. In addition, we have elected to try and become primarily a quartet club.

We still work as a chorus when required to meet engagements, but our prime thrust will be to do more quartet activities. In fact, our quartets are making us a better singing chorus.

Each practice night our goal is to provide time for quartet practice and performances. In any event, we’re open for anyone who might want to try some quartetting also.

Our chapter has been active. Since March we have had six performances at various sites and also did an inter-chapter visit on August 12 with the Trenton Chapter at Garth Manning’s home on the Quinte Isle in Wellington.     k
