David Buttars

1946—2006

By Casey van Hooydonk, Peterborough Chapter member

David Buttars passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, Sunday, June 11, 2006, at Cobourg Hospital.

Dave was a very dedicated member of Port-Hope Chapter and the Peterborough Chapter. He sang tenor in the Ganarasca Rascals, as well as the Kawartha Chordsmen and more recently Still Under Warranty quartets and competed with them in the Ontario District quartet competition.

He was a really good tenor, although he started as a bass. I feel very privileged to have had David as my friend. He was a gentleman. David will be very much missed for his optimistic outlook on life, by all who knew him.

Funeral services took place on June 16 at the Plainville United Church in Plainville.     k
