Thank you Ontario District

Thank you Ontario District for awarding the scholarship for me to attend Directors College at Harmony University in St. Joseph Missouri. I believe that your support and encouragement was instrumental in creating this wonderful opportunity.

It was amazing to be able to listen and learn with many others of my peers under the direction of so many knowledgeable instructors from the United States and Canada in one central location. The benefit of this training will only better our chapter, our district, and therefore our society. What a great boost this is to my knowledge. There is so much for me to review and practice!

This occasion also enabled so many of us as students to meet like-minded individuals. I interacted with a number of gentlemen who were exactly at the same stage in learning barbershop theory and director techniques. As students we grew together in a common bond in a very short time. Our group began to quickly appreciate each other’s situations and we grew together in our desire for learning.

Please also let me take this opportunity to acknowledge the kindness and support of my fellow Barbershoppers of the Royal City Ambassadors. This is something that will always lift me with encouragement to continue to learn into the future and further solidify my joy in barbershop harmony.

I am very appreciative that the Ontario District and the Barbershop Harmony Society has instituted such a college of learning and for allowing us, as members and aspiring directors, the privilege to attend and grow from such an experience.

Thank you.

Sincerely,
Rod Mills
