Central Division heard from again

By George Selkirk, Central Division Co-ordinator

Greetings from the Central Division. It’s good to be able to keep the Central Division on the map since it has been a long time since Central Division has been heard from. As I am fairly new to this division, I will try to keep everybody updated regarding our division.

We are very sorry to have lost the Markham Chapter. They were great guys but I guess they could not see any light at the end of the tunnel and decided to let their chapter go. It is good to see that other chapters are inviting out the members to join them and keep the interest there. I know that quite a few of the members will be joining with others chapters.

The Central Division had their first novice contest in five years, hosted by the East York Chapter, which turned out very well. A great job was done by Greg Shields and his helpers.

Other chapters are doing very well with the Greater Toronto Chapter preparing for their Russian trip.

A lot of singing valentines were sold by different chapters. It is a great way to make some money for their coffers.

I plan to be very active in the division. So far they have received me very well which makes the job not better but a joy to do. Look for big things in the future.         k
