John MacDonald

1931—2007

John MacDonald, a 31-year Barbershopper, has been a pillar of strength in the Barrie Chapter. His jovial personality, huge smile, quick wit and hearty laugh was evident from the moment he entered the room. As chairman of our Make-Up Committee, John made sure the Chordsmen always looked their best whenever and where ever they performed.

As chairman of our Hospitality Committee, he rarely missed a day to meet and greet every person who walked through our front door. John was also an active member of the Scarborough Dukes Of Harmony for many years and served as president in 1985.

John now joins his dear wife Audrey who predeceased him several months ago. John MacDonald has left a huge void on our barbershop fraternity.  He will be greatly missed by many.

The funeral took place on February 12, 2007 in Barrie.             k
