President Chuck responds
January 7, 2007
Dick:
I thank you for taking the time to send this wonderful message.
Going back to the theme that Society President Drayton Justus used, we certainly had lots of fun, fellowship, singing and service (H4S) at this year’s COTS.
Your communique is also the first form of opening communications between chapters and your elected officers.
Not only have I had excellent verbal comments on the way the COTS faculty presented their classes, but to have 20 in a JBS class, 12 in a brand new IT class and six at the Grant Writing class speaks volumes of the instructors we selected for the Plus classes.
The dean of COTS, Allan Lamson, told me that in all the years on the COTS faculty, he had never seen a class run on its own as the IT instructor was only able to provide us with seven hours of his time. Sunday morning, eight students met and continued their work on their own as they did some on-line work jointly.
I wish the St. Thomas Chapter the very best in 2007 and will do my best to pay the chapter a visit during the year.
Chuck Alexander,
Ontario District President
