Watching the
Denver webcast in style
By Waldo Redekop, Editor / Publisher The Trillium
The London Chapter opened the doors of their hall (Harmony Manor) for those who wished to watch the Denver webcast on their 8’x12’ big screen. They opened the doors 30 minutes before each webcast and you had the opportunity to watch the broadcast with fellow Barbershoppers.
The admission was by a reasonable donation to help offset costs. Food and beverages were also available at an additional cost.
I contacted them and asked for a photo and report of how it went but received neither. I understand that they made a little money, according to their chapter bulletin, and assume it was a good time had by all. Likely beat my dial-up broadcast on my small TV by a long shot.
I heard that other Barbershoppers also had guests in to watch the broadcast and that they also had a great time. Next year it will be in Nashville, a short drive from here, so a lot of you may get a chance to see and experience the convention in person.
Don’t forget, 2013 it will be in Toronto. k
